Mission Month in Livingstone 2019 |
Launching Mission Month in Livingstone, Zambia, 2019
28 September saw the launch of the Extraordinary Mission Month here in Livingstone Diocesan.
Each parish gathered at their own parish and then walked in pilgrimage to Christ the King Parish, Maramba.
As each parish arrived at the gate of Maramba Parish, they were welcomed. All parishes were headed with the special banner.
Input was given on the purpose of the celebration.
This was followed by inputs on Mission of the Baptized, Adoration and Benediction, Missionary Charity and Sustaining our Church. There was a short break for lunch and this was followed by a Penitential Service and individual confessions then the Eucharistic Celebration which was very joyful and lively - lots of singing, drumming, dancing.
There was a lovely atmosphere throughout the day and all who had gathered were very happy with the event.
During the month of October various events are planned at Small Christian Community and Parish levels. Radio Mosi O Tunya will be airing programmes and of course Mission Sunday will be celebrated on 20th October.
We were also reminded that October is Rosary month as well as Mission month.
