A General Chapter of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa was held at the beautiful Drumalis Retreat Centre, Larne, Northern Ireland from April 11 - April 26 2007.  The Chapter set the general direction for the Congregation for the next six years.  The delegates were reflectively and prayerfully facilitated through the process of Chapter by Srs. Ann Kavanagh SLS and Conchita McDonnell MSHR.

ImageThe General Chapter elected the Congregational Leadership Team who will lead the Congregation over the next six years.  Our Congratulations to Sr. Miram Duggan who was re-elected as Congregational Leader, to Sr. Kathleen Moran, her Assistant and to Srs. Bridgette Cormack and Felicia Matola.  The new Leadership Team will take over their duties at the beginning of August, when they have had time to organize their departures from their existing ministries.

Our grateful thanks go to our outgoing Congregational Leadership Team, Srs. Patricia McConvey, Marie Deans and Fidelma O'Neill who have served our Congregation and our ministries generously and well over the past six years.  Well done!!
