Sr. Felicia with Mrs. Njoroge, Headmistress at Mangu and a parish member

One of the highlights of a Thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration was an investiture ceremony at Mangu mission church. Representing the Congregation was Sr. Felicia Matola, FMSA, who became an esteemed Kikuyu Elder as these colourful photographs illustrate.
 

The investiture ceremony was arranged by the Headmistress of St. Francis Girl's Secondary School, Mrs Njoroge. This was a token gesture of esteem and gratitude marking the long years of ministry carried out by so many of our Sisters over the years. These included: Srs Celestine, Annetta, Francis, Angelina, Louise, Cecilia, Madeline, Patricia Mary, Sr St. Roch, Veronica, Sheila Rice, Regis, Rose O'Hara, Bernard, Moira Joyce, Maria McMullan, Ancilla, Betty, Lena.
